14th October – 20th December
Reformer Pilates involves the use of a Pilates reformer machine to give a more intense and dynamic workout than mat based Pilates. Reformer Pilates allows participants to add resistance to Pilates exercises with the springs which form part of the machine. The exercises usually work muscles through a large range of motion which is ideal for building and toning muscles as well increasing stability through the joints. With Reformer Pilates you are able to work more areas of the body than traditional mat work Pilates, over time this helps give participants a long lean appearance.
Reformers can be intimidating to look at but in practice are a versatile & extremely fun piece of equipment. It is a fantastic tool for rehabilitation, pre & post pregnancy workouts & those with pre-existing injuries who are unable to do high impact exercise.

What to bring?
Wear form fitting clothing that is easy to move around in. For women, leggings and a singlet top are usually best. For men, a pair of shorts with skins and a t-shirt or singlet work well. It is best to remove any hanging necklaces or bangles as these can be distracting and get in the way.
What to wear? Please bring a towel, water bottle & Pilates socks (optional)Pilates socks are available to purchase at the Health Club reception desk for $15. These are great to use because they have little grips on the bottom which stop your feet from sliding.
