Alan is our new Operations Manager (Ops Manager) here at Hurstville Aquatic Leisure Centre.
Alan started this role with an extensive background and experience within the industry.
Many of our members may have noticed Alan’s accent, that is because he is originally from Scotland. Therefore it is no surprise that he is a huge Celtic’s Football fan.
What is the role of an Operations Manager?
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire team of lifeguards and duty managers, along with the running of day to day operations for the entire facility!
This includes completing things such as:
- Rostering
- Training staff
- Ensuring full operations of the facility
- Working alongside the management team
- Regular pool tests to ensure water quality
- Running audits for safety and operational purposes
…and so much more!
The team is excited to work alongside Alan, and cannot wait to see what he brings to the community of Hurstville!
