Bluefit Swimming has a specific focus on water confidence and the basic skills of swimming. We have a strong emphasis on developing aquatic safety and developing the confidence of children in the aquatic environment.
Our team of Swim Instructors and Coaches are all professionally qualified and have been selected based on a combination of their knowledge, coaching skills, ability to communicate and build rapport with your child.
Our program consists of structured levels that build on your child’s skills and confidence, catering for the hesitant beginner through to competitive swimmers.
Swim School Inquiry
Once your child’s teacher feels that your child is achieving the set goals of their current level, they will organise for them to be assessed by the supervisor. Once assessed, the supervisor will discuss areas that need to be improved for your child to progress to the next level or be moved to the next level. This move may require you to move to a different time or day. Progressing to a higher level is a great achievement and your child will be presented with a certificate for their hard work.

Our Swim School Pool Deck Coordinators are available to discuss your child’s progress within the program. Please feel free to approach them should you have any questions about your child’s progress. We do ask that you do not approach your child’s teacher during lesson time as this distracts them from their class.
Our Pool Deck Coordinators are available to assist you with any queries and can assist you with finding a solution.
- Our Staff
All BlueFit Swimming Teachers are nationally qualified through either Austswim or Swim Australia. They all hold current CPR qualifications and have completed a Working with Children clearance. We conduct regular staff training to ensure our teachers are up to date with the latest teaching methods.

- Before Your Lesson
Swim students should arrive at the site 5 minutes before the lesson start time. Please make sure that your child does not enter the water prior to the commencement of their lesson. They must stay within arm’s reach of you until the lesson starts
Each time you attend lessons you must swipe your card to log your attendance at reception. This enables us to know who we are responsible for in the unlikely event of being evacuated. If you forget your swipe card, please talk to our reception staff and they will manually log your attendance for the day.
The safety of you, your child and our staff is paramount to us. We conduct regular inspections of the pool area, pool water and all learn-to-swim equipment to make sure that they are safe and functional.
We ask that while your child is in their lesson, you stay within the Centre. Once lessons have concluded, your child can continue to swim. However, it is your responsibility to supervise your child at this time.
Please keep us up to date with any medical conditions that your child may develop, or any changes to a pre-existing condition. It is important that our teachers and pool deck coordinators are kept informed. Your privacy and your child’s privacy will always be respected.
Providing us with any medical information will help us to ensure we can provide and care appropriately for all our students.
- Outside of Lessons
BlueFit offers the opportunity for your children to come and practice their swimming skills outside of their scheduled lesson time. Upon presentation of the BlueFit Swimming entry card, children can enter the facility with a full paying adult.
Children under 6 years of age: A parent or guardian is free with the child, the parent MUST be in the water with the child.
Children from 6 years of age: A parent or guardian MUST be in the centre with the child (they can be a spectator).
Lessons continue throughout the year including school holidays. Over the Christmas and New Year we break from lessons these dates will be advertised in advance. We do not swim on Public Holidays and you will not be charged for these or the break over Christmas and New Year.
- What happens if I am going on holidays?
BlueFit swimming encourages year round swimming for its participants for optimum results. However, when you are going away on holidays or wish to take a short break, we can arrange for you to cancel your booking. We can then place your family on our follow up report. This means we will contact you to rebook upon your return.
- I wish to know how my child is progressing – who do I ask?
If you wish to discuss your child’s progress please speak to the Pool Deck Coordinators. It is the Pool Deck Coordinators role to provide customer service and feedback on program participants. As you can appreciate, our swim instructors need to focus on their class at all times!
- What is the payment procedure for lessons?
Payment must be received prior to participating in a lesson. If your name is not on the class list you will not be allowed to participate in the lesson until fees are paid in full.
Direct Debit – you will be automatically enrolled into your current lesson day and time perpetually. Your position in the program is guaranteed. The fortnightly fee will be debited from either your bank account or credit card account.
