It is with regret and happiness that we say goodbye to one of our much loved BlueFit Swimming teachers, Gertie.
Gertie has been with BlueFit since our commencement in 2011. Gertie has however been teaching at Hurstville Aquatic Leisure centre for almost 20 years. Gertie has taught thousands of children, working with families and many members of our BlueFit Swimming teaching team. Gertie was alway enthusiastic and had a passion for swimming which the kids grew to love and built their skills with Gertie right at their side encouraging them to achieve their best.
Gertie has made the decision to retire and while we know that this was a difficult decision for Gertie we support her in her adventure ahead. Thank you Gertie for your wonderful commitment to the thousands of children that you have taught and for your hard work in making our community a safe place with children knowing how to swim and remain safe in and around water.

Keep your eye out for Gertie, we may see her around the centre keeping fit and active!
