Pools Closure Due to Roof Maintenance

Hurstville Aquatic Leisure Centre is maximising the opportunity created by the current COVID-19 restrictions to accelerate vital planned works to the roof over the pool area.

The work being undertaken is significant, and as such the pools and spa area will be unavailable until the end of 2020. However, the result will be an improved facility that complements the current expansion of the Penshurst Park Sporting Hub.

FAQs:

Why is the pool still closed?
Hurstville Aquatic Leisure Centre is using the current COVID-19 restrictions to undertake important work to replace the roof over the swimming pools.

What is the work being done?
The entire roof which covers the pool area is being replaced. We are expecting work will be finished at the end of December 2020.

When is the pool expected to open?
Council is working towards the pool reopening in early January 2021 to cater for the lap swimmers, squads, recreational swimmers and swimming clubs in the area.

What pools are nearest to me while Hurstville Aquatic Leisure Centre is
closed?
